At Little Hickory Pediatrics, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, a more personalized and comprehensive care for your little ones from infancy through adolescence. Dr. Tim Lorenz MD and his caring staff create a warm, welcoming environment, where children's health and well-being are our top priority. We understand that every child is unique, so we focus on personalized care tailored to meet their individual needs. We have a commitment to effective communication and education, so informed parents are able to be active participants in their child's health journey. Our Services
Services and Care
We provide the full scope of general pediatric care, from sick visits and injury visits, behavioral health and ADHD management, care for ongoing medical conditions such as Asthma and eczema, care for adolescent health issues as well as preventative health /well check ups, sports/camp physicals, and immunizations.
Insurances We Accept
We are providers for most major insurances such as Anthem/BCBS, Cigna, Aetna, Humana, Tricare Standard, PHCS as well as being providers for the Medicaid managed organizations WellCare and Peach State.
We also offer discounted and affordable rates for self-paying patients, more so than any standard urgent care with no follow-up after a visit is completed. We are also Vaccines for Children providers to offer vaccines to patients without insurance with just an administration fee of $20 for each vaccine.
Hours and After Hours
Our Office Hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 4:30 pm
As always, Dr. Lorenz takes his own calls after hours for urgent needs.
About Us
Growing up in a small town in Southern Illinois, Dr. Tim Lorenz’s first exposure to medicine and pediatrics came from his father, who was also an independent solo Pediatrician. He completed his undergraduate degree from St. Louis University, and his medical degree from Southern Illinois University. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center - Knoxville, and has lived in Cherokee County since 2000. After spending a few years at Kennestone Pediatric ER and Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Lorenz decided to open his own solo pediatric practice, getting back to his roots of the type of care from when he was growing up.
